I have not a Problem with a Map Editor who is easy to handle and spend a littel money for it.My Problem is that i can not Create Planets which I would like to create, because you have no access to the Surface to Change the Combi of the buildable area. You cant also change the advantages areas, Like Military +3 or who is Sitting the Helios Ore.And in the Editing of the Planets there are no description of the different bonuses they could have, this is so corrosive, confusing and unnecessary.I am so massive angry, that i advise against the Map Editor DLC. The Description that i can Create my Own Universe is a joke. The Content of the Planets is still random, and for that i dont need this Map Pack, im so .......... For something that costs money, the map editor sucks big time. Its so basic! Its in much need of an update which will never happen. Just used the map editor to make a small gauntlet of nebulae, pirates, and lag. 10\/10.. Indeed. A map pack is my last choice for a DLC, but I am grateful for all newness for this game. I look forward to the more meaty DLC and expansions!. This is a "Map Editor" in only the briefest sense of the term. You have virtually no control over anything that is placed, outside of planets and stars. And whislt you may think thats all you need to begin with, it soon becomes apparent that this is DLC of the sloppiest kind. Nebulas? You would think you could sweep around and plonk nebula blocks wherever you like? Not true for this - you get "random generated" nebulas multiple blocks big, and you have to keep hitting and hoping until you get the dimensions and size you want. Worse - you cant physically tell the map where to place certain races as starting planets, unless you use a workaround that was found -outside- of the game devs. And that works only with -major- races. Minor race placement is utterly random and seems to spam them closest your homeworld. The user interface is all but non existent. Want to see stars only for placement purposes? Nada. Want to easily locate a star system you placed amongst hundreds? Sorry, go look for it again. Want to know what the planetary traits actually do when you assign them to a world? Sorry, you need to google them and keep the browser open in the background for referral...These are the kinds of issues - a lack of user friendliness and customization - that make this a terrible map editor. Add on to the fact that it is also called a "Map Pack" but has only 6 maps shipping with it, and it is frankly a disgrace. This is the perfect example of why people are tired of companies releasing DLC. Quick, easy, rushed rubbish that is thrown out there to sucker you out of a few quid, and hope enough fall for it before they read the reviews.. Edited:After filing a bug-ticket, the bug was fixed within days. Well done!As I still have a few issues with this dlc (related to core game design), I still leave it in not-recommended state----Original post:Although the original game sometimes freezes up and drops to desktop, this is the first time I encounter this new bug. I can't but to wonder if its related to the DLC:After a few turns on DLC map, the game was not able to end my turn. I was caught in a limbo state and had to Retire to get anywhere. However, the map looks good and will provide some new mechanics (if it only worked).
